Select Jetayu's sealed-new variant explicitly; the product page also exposes pre-owned condition choices. This legacy model is superseded by the Mini 4K and lacks forward, rear and upward obstacle sensors. It records 2.7K rather than 4K. Confirm serial, activation eligibility, battery manufacture date/cycles, controller type, charger, propellers and exact box contents. Jetayu's page exposes a one-year warranty label and facilitated support language, but it does not establish a direct DJI India manufacturer hardware warranty. Compare support and lifecycle value with the newer Mini 4K before purchase.
A sub-250g mass does not waive airspace, privacy, no-fly-zone or other applicable Indian Drone Rules. The seller restricts regulated-drone sales to eligible India entities. Verify the final takeoff mass with accessories, Digital Sky requirements, location permissions and India radio mode; never treat the maximum FCC distance as an operational entitlement.
As of Jul 2026, DJI operates no India service centre and no official India store: the country selector on DJI’s official repair portal lists roughly 50 country/region sites (US, EU, China, Japan, Australia and others) and India is not among them — Indian users fall under a generic “Other Regions” option. Any DJI unit sold in India is an import, and repair in practice means shipping the unit abroad or relying on the seller’s own arrangement. Get the seller’s warranty commitment in writing and keep the GST invoice; for drones specifically, India’s import ban adds further risk (see the regulatory notes).

Complete drones in CBU, SKD and CKD form are prohibited imports under DGFT Notification 54/2015-20, with narrow authorisation-based exceptions. Components remain free. Before buying foreign-built stock in India, verify lawful provenance, seller identity, GST invoice, warranty owner and the registration path.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Rule 14 of the Drone Rules, 2021 generally requires a UIN before operation. Nano aircraft (250 g or less) are exempt from type certification, the remote-pilot credential and third-party insurance, but do not have a general UIN exemption. DGCA currently says registration of non-type-certified UAS is temporarily suspended; confirm the exact eGCA path, serial number, type certificate and airspace restrictions before purchase or operation.
